Diversity at the UConn Health Center 

The UConn Health Center recognizes that in order to provide superior and remarkable health care through education and research we must build and value a workforce and student body from all walks of life, backgrounds and perspectives. The Office of Diversity and Equity strives to foster an inviting and collaborative environment that encourages individual ideas and supports organizational goals.

Diversity is an organizational way of life where men and women, who differ in a multitude of ways, work and learn in an environment of mutual respect and appreciation. Diversity also taps innovation and creativity by encouraging everyone to be an active member in a multicultural environment that encourages self-assessment, growth, and improvement.
